Bavaria Towers

BTI Bogenhausener Tor Immobilien GmbH (BTI) commissioned PORR, in a consortium between/of PORR Deutschland GmbH and ALU-SOMMER Deutschland GmbH, to build two high-rise buildings. The ambitious high-rise ensemble at the eastern entry to the city, at the end of the A94 and on the axis of the  Munich Trade Fair grounds, includes the 15-storey White Tower hotel tower and the 20-storey Blue Tower office building.

A blue and a white tower for Munich

The Blue Tower was constructed as a flexible office building. With 18 storeys and an overall floor area of about 24,300m^2, it is the second-largest tower in the ensemble. From the upper floors, those who work there can enjoy a magnificent view of the Alps and the city centre. The White Tower houses a Hyperion hotel. A total of 272 standard rooms and 72 panorama suites for guests with more discerning requirements are distributed over 15 storeys. In addition to the in-house dining facilities, guests also have access to a large conference area of about 700m². 

Living and working in an ultramodern environment

In addition to the usual hallmarks of contemporary hotel and office buildings, the Bavaria Towers impress with their environmentally-friendly energy supply including geothermal energy and district heating, floor-to-ceiling windows with opening casements to provide natural ventilation, individually-controllable sun shading, a pleasant climate ensured by concrete core activation, individual, easily-accessible bike rooms with changing and shower facilities for cyclists, plus extra-wide VIP parking spaces. The high-rise ensemble was awarded the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold category certificate (Level 3, 2009 version).

In addition to the turnkey construction project, the range of services provided by PORR also included general planning services by PORR subsidiary Integrale Planung GmbH, specifically comprising consultancy services, project and specialist planning, tenant fitout and rental management, as well as services related to the achievement of LEED Gold certification.
