Since the "LINDE House" is to have a basement, it was necessary to lower the groundwater level. For this purpose, nine wells were installed to pump out the water in a controlled manner. PORR did everything in its power to preserve the surrounding tree population and regularly watered the trees on the construction site by hand. In addition, a preservation of evidence was carried out on the existing buildings to document any damage caused by the lowering of the groundwater.
It is important to the client to continuously maintain the operation of the care and dementia centre during the construction work. For this reason, the access routes are being kept clear by PORR in order to allow rescue vehicles and vehicles for daily operations to pass unhindered. To protect the residents from the dust, the roads are regularly watered. Gatekeepers and PORR foremen control the entrances and exits to ensure smooth operations.
In June 2023, the masonry for the Substitute House on the 2nd floor was set. Now the construction site team is starting work on the 2nd construction field, where "Haus Linde" will later provide a home for senior citizens.
