Economical asphalting method
The paving was carried out using the compact asphalt construction method, the so-called InLine Pave method. Here, the two-layer asphalt structure consisting of asphalt binder and surface course is produced "hot on hot" in a single operation. The process offers many advantages, such as considerable time and cost savings and a longer service life for the roads, and is therefore highly cost-effective for the client.
Trouble-free operation thanks to accurate planning and coordination of construction sequences
The large quantities of material removal and installation posed special challenges for the logistics. The articulated vehicles had to be organised and scheduled in shift systems in order to ensure continuity and thus smooth operations. The employees of Oevermann Verkehrswegebau GmbH and G-S Straßenbau GmbH also worked in shifts, as the asphalt paving was carried out for up to 70 hours at a time. Thanks to the perfectly timed processes and the good cooperation between all project participants, the project of this particular magnitude was completed safely and economically within the specified deadlines and to the complete satisfaction of the client.
