The BALTIQUE residential quarter has been steadily taking shape since the groundbreaking ceremony in 2021: A total of 251 flats, twelve commercial spaces and two underground garages are being built at the fishing harbour in Travemünde. With the topping-out ceremony, the construction site team of PORR Hochbau Region Nord celebrated an important interim stage together with the clients. Among the many invited guests was Lübeck's Senator for Construction Joanna Hagen. PORR foreman Ralf Hüttenberger gave the ceremonial topping-out speech and celebrated the new building in the traditional way: "So, as best I can, as strong as a carpenter, with my eyes proudly raised, I wish the new house all the luck in the world.
New living space with a view of the Trave and the marina
The new residential quarter on Lübeck Bay is located directly on the Trave promenade, which is being rebuilt as part of the project. It makes the Old Fishing Harbour an experience for many people. In realising the building project, one of the main focuses is on preserving the maritime character and harmoniously integrating flats, services and tourist attractions into the authentic harbour atmosphere. On an area of around 18,000 m2 , the new construction project blends harmoniously with the existing buildings.
PORR Hochbau Region Nord is working flat out on the economic and safe completion of the project, which is scheduled for summer 2024.
