The introduction of innovative technologies and lean, digital processes has long been a topic that occupies the construction industry. The step into digitalisation brings challenges, but above all great opportunities: once it is anchored, however, it enriches cooperation and workflows.
PORR plans and builds using LEAN management methods interlinked with digital BIM models. The use of these innovative tools makes it possible to implement customised construction projects within the quality, cost and deadline framework. The combination of the approaches supports planners, clients and subcontractors in proactively and efficiently contributing to the success of the project in all phases. Optimal coordination, resource efficiency, transparency and communication enable safety, economic efficiency and sustainability from project planning to realisation.
PORR sets benchmark as "Digital Champion 2023
On behalf of FOCUS-MONEY magazine and Deutschland Test, the IMWF Institute for Management and Economic Research with scientific support from the HWWI conducted a study entitled "Digital Champion 2023". The methodology was based on two pillars: First, social listening was conducted, focusing on the dimensions of digitalisation, technology and innovation. Approximately 1.5 million mentions of around 12,000 companies from a wide range of economic sectors were identified and assigned between 1 December 2021 and 30 November 2022. For a company to score well, it had to perform well in each dimension examined. In a second step, a questionnaire was completed independently by the companies studied. To be crowned Digital Champion, a minimum score of 60 points must be achieved in the overall ranking. The industry winner receives 100 points. With 100 points, PORR Germany sets the benchmark in terms of digitalisation in the construction industry.
