"We are ideally positioned to maintain our pole position as digital champion," assures Claude-Patrick Jeutter, Technical Managing Director of PORR in Germany. "Our major projects in particular are no longer conceivable without digitalisation. BIM modelling is the basis for efficient construction processes, precise tender preparation as well as the greatest possible cost-effectiveness. Digital documentation and traceability of components is also essential for buildings that are planned according to the closed-loop principle. Last but not least, the natural use of digital tools increases our attractiveness as an employer. Young professionals appreciate the fact that they work with us using modern collaboration platforms for planning and project management."
For the company study, the Institute of Management and Economic Research (IMWF), with scientific support from the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI), analysed 12,300 companies based in Germany using a combination of social listening and questionnaires.
Several hundred million online sources were analysed and evaluated using artificial intelligence in order to gather relevant information about the companies in the areas of digitalisation, technology and innovation. In a standardised online questionnaire, the companies added their own information on processes, data, communication, work as well as structural characteristics. The best companies in each sector served as a benchmark for the rankings.
