On 8 September 2022, the 9th Oldenburg BIM Day started as part of the BIM Week, organised by the BIM Baumeister Akademie and the Jade University of Applied Sciences. Around 400 visitors, including many students, had the opportunity to meet experts in digital design and construction from the Oldenburg region over two days. They learned more about the topic of BIM in informative lectures, workshops and exciting hands-on sessions. As a sponsor and exhibitor, PORR Hochbau Region Nord was represented at the Oldenburg BIM Day and was delighted to make many new contacts, meet interested parties on the subject of digital construction and engage in a stimulating exchange. Our sister company pde Integrale Planung also organised its own hands-on session on the topic of BIM.
The two-day event was opened this morning on the Oldenburg campus by welcoming remarks from Lower Saxony's Minister for Science and Culture, Björn Thümler. Dr. Jens Brandenburg, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Jürgen Krogmann, Lord Mayor of the City of Oldenburg, and the President of Jade University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Manfred Weisensee, also warmly welcomed the participants. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Hollermann from the Jade University of Applied Sciences led through the programme.
