International career perspectives Excursion by Buxtehude University of Applied Sciences 21 to the PORR Group in Vienna

In addition to over 35 locations in Germany, PORR also opens up international opportunities for its employees: this was experienced by students on the dual course in civil engineering at the University of Applied Sciences 21 in Buxtehude. They visited our mother company, the PORR Group, in Vienna and learned that PORR stands for international and innovative career prospects.

As a practical partner of the University of Applied Sciences 21, there is a relationship of trust between PORR Building Construction Region North and the University of Applied Sciences 21. Currently, a total of five dual students from the university are completing their practical phases at PORR in Hamburg. The excursion to Vienna was organised in cooperation with the Building Construction Region North and the HR department, accompanied by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Betzler. Two of our dual students from Hamburg also took part in the excursion.

The excursion programme provided exciting insights with a workshop on Lean management and visits to the impressive Vio Plazza building construction project and the Modecenterstraße special civil engineering project. The students experienced first-hand how innovative ideas and modern technologies are implemented in construction.

We are very pleased about the participation and the students' great interest in the wide world of PORR.
