On the occasion of the laying of the foundation stone, the investor AMM Holding GmbH, represented by Mr. Amer Sandawi, the head of the Osterholz local authority Mr. Ulrich Schlüter, the chairwoman of ConPart e.V. Ms. Heike Ahrens-Kulenkampff, representatives of the city of Bremen with Dr. Niels Weller and Daniel de Olano, as well as the construction site team of PORR came together on the construction site in the Osterholz district of Bremen. Numerous children from the neighbouring ConPart daycare centre attended the laying of the foundation stone as guests of honour. They followed the exciting foundation stone-laying ceremony and stood in the front row when the time capsule was lowered into place. The anticipation for their new day care centre is great.
Sustainably built and adding value to Osterholz
"The new day care centre is particularly close to our hearts because, as a company from Osterholz, we are creating a place of care for the children of Osterholz with an operator from Osterholz. The project demonstrates local cohesion. The day care centre is just the start of the mixed-use neighbourhood with a total of 30 terraced houses, 70 flats, a commercial unit and a neighbourhood square and neighbourhood playground. The daycare centre and the neighbourhood stand for high-quality urban architecture, but also for low energy and sustainability. The buildings have all been awarded the DGNB Gold certificate and the KfW 40 NH standard. As the heart of the quarter with what we consider an ideal operator who already runs a day care centre next door, we are pleased to make a valuable contribution to the place," explains Amer Sandawi, managing partner of AMM Holding GmbH. The new nursery is being built as an inclusive day care centre.
