"PORR can look back on more than 150 years of company history. Innovation has been part of our identity since the very beginning. This award is therefore a great honour, but no coincidence," comments Claude-Patrick Jeutter, Technical Managing Director of PORR in Germany, and continues: "The consistent culture of innovation gives us a lasting competitive advantage as a company. We are also an attractive employer for talented technology enthusiasts. Last but not least, it guarantees our customers added value in terms of product quality, efficiency and sustainability. We are delighted that this is so clearly recognised on the market."
For the study, 215,677 managers were surveyed online by the Cologne-based analysis institute ServiceValue. On a scale of 1 (strongly agree) to 5 (strongly disagree), they gave their personal assessment of the extent to which "strategies and concepts of the respective company management lead to a high level of innovative strength". Both company-related and market-related experiences and impressions were included in the assessment.
The innovation fields in which PORR operates range from construction processes and building materials to digital planning methods and environmental technology in construction. "There are often no off-the-shelf solutions for large, complex construction projects; instead, our pioneering spirit is required," explains Jeutter, citing a current example: "For the FAIR particle accelerator, currently one of the largest and most complex construction projects in international cutting-edge research, PORR Baustofftechnik developed an innovative concrete mix design that met the diverse requirements."
PORR's corporate strategy of "intelligent growth with Green and Lean" also relies on the innovative strength of its employees. "Innovative ideas on how construction can become more efficient and sustainable at the same time are actively encouraged," concludes Jeutter.
