Not only the women's national team is currently demonstrating team spirit at the FIFA World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, but also our S'PORR'tis in Munich are showing full commitment on the ball: on 22 July 2023, the Charity Company Championships 2023 (MCCC) took place in Munich's Sportpark Nymphenburg.
With the aim of raising funds for socially disadvantaged children, football-mad employees from numerous companies came together for the charitable company football tournament. The PORRians from Munich provided the team S'PORR'tis for the good cause and competed with many teams for the title of "Best Company Football Team". The patron of the event, former German national player Jimmy Hartwig (in the middle of the group photo), kept his fingers crossed for our team.
PORR played its way into the quarter-finals in close cooperation between the building construction region south, central purchasing, accounting and the HR department. Here, however, our colleagues were beaten by the company sports team from Mercedes Benz AG in a 7-metre shootout. This did not dampen the good mood - fun, togetherness and social commitment were the top priorities. The teams and spectators ended the tournament day together in the evening at the Party4Charity.
