Semiconductor factory with cleanroom areas

Production building with cleanrooms

The cleanrooms for microchip production formed the core of the project. The cleanroom areas span two storeys of the building and were delivered ready for operation (RFE). In addition to the cleanrooms, the project encompassed the technical systems required for production operations, as well as the associated infrastructure.

Building services and electrical works

The scope of work included the design and installation of all building services as well as electrical systems. The technical systems were tailored to the requirements of semiconductor manufacturing as well as cleanroom technology.

Integration into the production site

The building was integrated into the existing production areas of the Regensburg plant. The design and installation were carried out whilst taking into account the existing plant infrastructure as well as the interfaces with the existing building.

Construction within an operational plant environment

The construction work took place within an existing industrial site. Space on the building site was limited, as well as the structural and technical connections to the existing production building had to be taken into account.

Planning and general contracting

As the general contractor, PORR Industriebau GmbH was responsible for the detailed planning and the execution of the construction and fit-out works. This included cleanroom technology, building services and electrical works.

Foundation for semiconductor production

Building H17 represents an extension of the Regensburg production site for semiconductor manufacturing. The project comprises cleanrooms spread over two storeys, technical infrastructure as well as connections to existing production areas.
