EWE administration building, Delmenhorst

As general contractor, PORR Hochbau Region Nord is constructing a new administration building for HBG Bauträger GmbH in accordance with the DGNB Gold Standard for sustainable construction. The tenant of the new building will be the utility company EWE AG. In addition to the administration building, the contract also includes the construction of all outdoor facilities including parking spaces, outbuildings, earthworks and a green roof.

The plot size for the new administration building in Delmenhorst, which is being built on Stickgraser Allee, /corner of Syker Straße, is 3,714 m² . For the client, adherence to costs and deadlines are particularly important in this project. The team understood the need and convinced with an all-round carefree package. In order to ensure customised construction services within the agreed time and cost budget, construction is carried out on the basis of optimised processes according to the methods of LEAN Construction. The application enables smooth project coordination and transparent communication channels to clearly determine and analyse work steps in advance. This optimises project implementation in terms of resources and time.

DGNB Gold Standard as sustainability seal

As proof of sustainability, the new building for the 100 or so employees working in Delmenhorst is to achieve DGNB (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen e.V.) certification with Gold status. As an experienced DGNB member of many years' standing, PORR is advising and supporting the client on the way to certification. The installation of a heat pump, photovoltaic system with storage and e-charging points underlines the high standards of sustainability. The PV system is supplied and installed directly by the tenant.

Longstanding existing customer

The trusting cooperation between the client and Hochbau Region Nord has been tried and tested several times: In Bad Segeberg, PORR has already constructed an administration building for the job centre and the employment agency for the existing client, and in Ahrensburg the team realised the extension for the job centre on site; the joint project for the employment agency in Schleswig is currently running in parallel.
