Only seven months after construction work began, those involved in the project were able to celebrate the topping-out ceremony in the presence of the deputy mayor and district councillor for Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, Dr. Peter Beckers. This is the second STRAUSS & PARTNER project alongside the O2 World.
"The O2 World area is turning more and more into an attractive and varied city district with cultural and leisure opportunities, offices and flats. With its projects HOTEL + OFFICE CAMPUS BERLIN and ARENA BOULEVARD, STRAUSS & PARTNER is making a major contribution and is also setting new benchmarks in therms of ecology and sustainability," says Dr. Peter Beckers, deputy mayor and district councillor for Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg.
"For us, it is important to make our mark on this fascinating location in terms of structure and usage in a way that does justice to the city location. This includes maximum quality standards and an eco-friendly design. Like in the case of the HOTEL + OFFICE CAMPUS BERLIN, we are also looking to be awarded DGNB Silver and LEED Gold certification for the ARENA BOULEVARD as well," explains Christian Berger, Managing Director of STRAUSS & PARTNER in Germany.
Generous, bright and flexible office areas as well as an underground car park for 36 cars are to be built in the modern ARENA BOULEVARD. There will be about 700 square metres of space for gastronomy and retail available on the ground floor. Building started in June 2014, the project is to be completed by October 2015. 4,381 square metres of the 8,207 available for renting have already been taken.
