Vienna, 21 March 2016 – Frank Jainz (51) and Stephan Hebgen (51) have been appointed as the new Managing Directors of PORR Deutschland GmbH with effect from 1 March 2016. Frank Jainz began his career at Bilfinger SE, where he rose to become Chairman of the Building Construction Board. He then took on the post of CEO of Alpine Bau Deutschland AG. Stephan Hebgen’s career started at Hochtief AG. As a manager in the infrastructure sector, he was responsible for the competency units. In 2014 he moved to PORR AG in Vienna and took over as Managing Director of the infrastructure division.
“With Frank Jainz and Stephan Hebgen we have gained two exceptional experts on the German con-struction industry for our restructured Business Unit 2. Their leadership will allow us to proactively push ahead with the expansion in our second most important home market of Germany”, said Karl-Heinz Strauss, CEO of PORR AG. “The medium-term goal for PORR Deutschland is to achieve a market share of at least EUR 1 bn in our core construction business”.
Members of the prior management team Thomas Eberl, Rainer Graf and Hischam Fouad will continue to work in management for the expansion of the business unit in Germany. Udo Sauter is taking over as Technical Managing Director of Münchner Grund, a UBM Development AG subsidiary in Germany. Rainer Rengshausen and Wolfgang Reining are moving to the “Infrastructure International” segment of PORR AG.
Germany is PORR’s most important foreign market. Here the Group offers its entire construction portfolio and has been realising complex infrastructure and civil engineering projects – including those for Deutsche Bahn – for many years. In the building construction sector, general contractor and design-build projects should be stepped up in particular. The largest new orders last year included two of the Bavaria Towers in Munich (tender value EUR 82.4m). The building complex consists of four pentagonal towers with a total of 77,650m² gross lettable space.
