A residential complex with three buildings is being built at Fischerstraße 8-11, offering space for 153 comfortably furnished, barrier-free 1- to 2-room flats. The attractive location in the area around Rummelsburger Bucht with green spaces and picturesque lakeside paths, the charm of the housing estate from the 1920s and 1930s in the middle of the big city and the proximity to the trendy neighbourhoods of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg attract many young people.
Sophisticated building location
Two of the three buildings have already been completed and handed over to the developer for furnishing. The third building is to be handed over on schedule for interior construction in mid-August. Work on the outdoor facilities is currently underway. Since there is only one access through the front building to the green areas and thus cramped conditions prevail, it requires precise logistical coordination with the furniture deliveries. This is not the first time the site team has faced logistical challenges. Before construction began, a customised, special logistical concept was developed for the site to ensure smooth operations despite the tight road conditions.
Sustainable construction: Buildings meet efficiency house standard KfW 40
All buildings meet the KfW 40 efficiency house standard, and the requirements for careful construction and energy-efficient building services are correspondingly high. The construction of the building envelopes according to the KfW 40 standard was the greatest challenge, as every component and every material was individually tested and approved by the building physicist. The team mastered this task in close shoulder to shoulder with the client.
