Lean Thinking . A focus on continuous improvement

Communication on an equal footing and shared understanding of the construction and planning process thanks to cooperation and transparency: this is Lean management in action.

All processes – from planning to execution – are streamlined and value creation is increased. Work steps are devised collectively and analysed in advance with all parties involved in the project. This helps the team to identify unnecessary process steps and optimise or avoid them altogether in the future. The primary goal is to avoid waste by implementing a continuous improvement process.

Lean Design . Working together to improve project planning 

Lean Design is an agile project delivery system that promotes active communication and collaboration between the planning teams. In addition, processes are visualised and made transparent for all project teams. Besides the planners, the executing trades – to the extent that they have been established – are also involved in the planning process. This helps to optimise interfaces, coordinate construction strategies, utilise all available sources of knowledge, and promote cooperation between all the teams. Involving all the planners and decision-makers in the process from the beginning results in improved and streamlined planning.

Lean Construction stands for coordinated construction management where processes are efficiently harmonised. One of the key priorities of our work on the construction site is the avoidance and elimination of waste during execution. This saves resources and helps prevent delays, especially in complex projects. In this way, we ensure better results and increased satisfaction for everybody involved in the project.

By applying Lean methods, we achieve an increase in efficiency and continuous improvement of execution processes. Lean Logistics . Efficient handling of construction projects  

We use Lean Logistics to identify potential savings in construction project management.  Activities related to building logistics such as transport, storage, installation and removal operations often take up of the total time involved in the finishing work. We use the existing potential here to avoid unnecessary processes such as long search times in unstructured storage rooms and expensive transport routes.


Optimised processes for more cost-effectiveness

Just-in-time, procurement, production, waste disposal and information logistics are all part of construction logistics. They are defined specifically for each project. A construction logistics manual is provided to inform all project participants about the applicable logistical framework conditions and thus to ensure clarity in all processes and to implement them optimally on the construction site. The construction logistics manual includes, for example, information on delivery processes, efficient material storage and the selected disposal system. This shortens lead times, increases the share of added value, and allows the construction project to be realised on schedule and at low cost.
