The client is a company of the long-standing customer QUARTERBACK Immobilien AG. PORR has already impressed with its ‘one-stop shop’ service promise in several projects for the nationwide project developer.
Attractive location near Hamburg
The town of Norderstedt is located in what is known as the commuter belt of Hamburg. The district of Garstedt, one of the four founding communities, was once characterised by agriculture, peat cutting and crafts. Today, it is a popular residential area due to its good infrastructure. Whether it's to the Reeperbahn in Hamburg, to the neighbouring shopping centre or to the unique Norderstedt City Park with its lido by the lake, all routes are short from the centrally located Berliner Allee.
The six upper floors of the new building will house 198 residential units with a total living area of approx. 12,000 m². 60 of these apartments, with a combined floor space of approx. 2,500 m², are subsidised, and 54 are barrier-free. The ground floor is reserved for retail. An underground car park offers space for approx. 160 cars. The shell will be completed by the end of July 2025.
Sustainability in focus
In addition to turnkey construction, the scope of services includes all services from service phase 5. The building will be constructed according to the KfW specifications for an efficiency house 55. DGNB Gold certification is also planned. As a city with a high proportion of green space, Norderstedt has strict regulations regarding tree protection. As the responsible construction company, PORR must also ensure that the trees on the site are not damaged and are continuously watered.
