A total of 31,047m³ of enclosed space, 189 rooms across 10,000m² of gross floor area and 9 storeys with underground parking – these are some of the key figures for the Premier Inn München City (Zentrum), built between 2017 and 2019. The Munich branch of PORR GmbH & Co. KGaA was responsible for the turnkey construction of the building, which is situated at Sonnenstrasse 25, right in the heart of the city between Karlsplatz and Sendlinger Tor, making it the ideal base for a day of shopping or sightseeing. New arrivals are greeted by the sight of a light-coloured facade made from natural stone. The close-grained Jura limestone used for the facade slabs is around 160 million years old, and the quarries where it is extracted are located in the Franconian Alb, just a stone’s throw from Munich.
