Heat and energy for the future
In Berlin Marzahn, PORR has been commissioned to build a new highly efficient gas and steam combined heat and power plant (CHP). The capacity will be 230 MW district heating and 260 MW electricity.
PORR is responsible for all structural work on the power plant (including floor slabs, turbine foundations, stair towers and transformer buildings) as well as for the planning and turnkey construction of the control room, the office building and the central workshop.
- Approx. 20,000 m2 of concrete work
- 2 stair towers, 45 m high, built in climbing formwork
- Steam turbine table, elevated at a height of 15 m
The new Marzahn CHP is built on behalf of Siemens AG for the end customer Vattenfall AG© PORR
Natural gas is used as fuel for the new plant. This fuel burns without residue and does not release any sulphur dioxide or dust.© PORR
