Neighbourhood keeps young families in Bremen
The district of Osterholz in Bremen is located in the east of the city area and borders on the district of Verden in Lower Saxony. The structure of the housing stock is diverse, ranging from old farms and terraced housing estates to the high-rise buildings in "Little Manhattan". The fact that 30 terraced houses and 2 apartment buildings, including a day-care centre, are now being built on a plot of land of around 38,000 m2 that has lain fallow for many years is particularly welcome news for young families in Bremen.
Sustainability is a top priority
The day-care centre meets the energy requirements for an Efficiency House 40 NH. A photovoltaic system will be installed on at least 50% of the roof surfaces. In addition, DGNB certification in gold is planned. "We are delighted about this contract in two respects. With AMM Holding, we were able to convince a new client of ours who has the topic of sustainability at the top of its agenda. The project therefore harmonises perfectly with PORR's Green and Lean sustainability strategy," explains PORR Regional Manager North Björn Motzkus. The bidding and calculation phase was already characterised by mutual trust. "As a general contractor, we have a prime obligation to deliver an all-round, worry-free package. By adhering to costs, deadlines and quality, the customer has full planning security."
