Future topics such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), paperless construction sites and the new world of work in the form of collaborative, virtual working are on everyone's lips in the construction industry. PORR has set its sails for the future and has been dealing with these topics for years. The overarching goal: to digitalise all work processes and make them more efficient in order to be able to use resources even more specifically for the core business. With new technologies, construction projects are realised faster, more efficiently, more cost-effectively and, above all, more transparently.
Exploiting the opportunities of BIM & LEAN
The innovative working methods of BIM and LEAN management are an integral part of PORR. To achieve maximum success, agile BIM technology processes are combined with LEAN management. The result: combining the approaches supports planners, clients and subcontractors in proactively and efficiently contributing to the success of the project in all phases. Optimal coordination, transparency and communication enable safety and cost-effectiveness from project planning to realisation.
Study results distinguish PORR as a digital pioneer
On behalf of FOCUS-MONEY magazine and Deutschland Test, the IMWF Institute for Management and Economic Research with scientific support from the HWWI conducted a study entitled "Digital Champion 2022". The evaluation of the data was based on two pillars: First, a social listening was conducted that focused on the topics of digitisation, technology and innovation. Approximately 12.9 million mentions of around 12,500 companies from a wide range of economic sectors were identified and assigned between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2021. In a second step, a questionnaire was completed independently by the companies studied. PORR Germany occupies the top spot among construction companies with full-service offerings in terms of digitisation.
