Shell was erected in record time thanks to partnering model
Representatives of the client Lakeward, the planning office, the district of Lichtenberg and numerous other guests came together on 22 September 2022 to celebrate the completion of the shell with the construction site team and to listen to the traditional topping-out ceremony. This means that the construction progress is right on schedule. "For a project of this size, which also has a significant proportion of subsidised and barrier-free flats, adherence to costs and deadlines are an absolute must," explains PORR senior construction manager René Krüger.
"The integral partnership model we initiated, in which the client, the architects and we as general contractor work closely together from planning to turnkey implementation, is the guarantee that such an extensive construction project can be realised economically and in outstanding quality," adds Krüger.
Planned completion in November 2023
The name of the quarter promises a lot of greenery. According to the designs of the architectural firm MPP Meding Plan Projekt GmbH, it will be realised in KfW 55 standard with spacious inner courtyards and green roofs. The façades with their warm red and green tones and the surrounding plinth set additional atmospheric accents. Until then, the PORR construction team has a tight schedule ahead of them. The turnkey handover of the residential complex is planned for November 2023 and despite the upcoming cold season with all its imponderables for the building trades, the subsequent trades such as roofers, window fitters, building services, screed layers, dry construction and painters must be coordinated on schedule.
