Bees are pollinators. They play a vital role for biodiversity and food security and are fundamentally important to humanity. World Bee Day reminds us that bee populations around the world need our help.
In addition to its extensive expertise in construction, the PORR Group has more than 470 hives at almost 50 international locations. To mark the fifth anniversary of the bee@PORR sustainability initiative, our parent company has set up a bee trail in Monte Laa Park in Vienna with tips for aspiring beekeepers. “Sabiene”, the PORR worker bee, will teach children and adults how many bees live in a hive, what the life of a worker bee is like, and what other products they make besides honey.
