The Frankfurt branch of Oevermann Hochbau GmbH is constructing 75 retirement apartments beside the Rhine on behalf of client THE FLAG Senior.
The order includes turnkey construction and execution planning carried out in-house by experts from the Engineering Office and Work Planning departments, along with external specialist engineers.
The building has an L-shaped design, with the part overlooking the Rhine consisting of a four-storey, gable-ended wing, and the side facing the city park comprising three storeys and a roof terrace. The apartments are mostly barrier-free and have two rooms and a balcony. The new retirement home has a concierge facility and a well-designed service and living concept for senior citizens who can live independently and do not rely on care.
Special structural measures to address flood hazard
The property’s location within the flood zone of the Rhine means that the ground floor is given over to parking, while a retention basin in the basement can be flooded if the river bursts its banks. The building technology control centres are housed in the attic.
