Ecological, economic and social sustainability: the Institute for Management and Economic Research (IMWF), together with Deutschland Test, took a close look at companies in Germany from these points of view. Commissioned by FOCUS-MONEY, the study examines the online reputation of around 19,000 companies and brands in Germany using a social listing analysis. The evaluation shows that PORR is one of the award-winning companies among construction companies.
With its holistic "Green and Lean" sustainability strategy, PORR focuses on the three foundations of environmental, social and governance. The most important action fields have been identified via a materiality analysis and reflect the three pillars of sustainability. The aim: to make the environment sustainable and to promote innovation and growth in order to create a world worth living in for all people - today and tomorrow.
Between 01 March 2021 and 28 February 2022, around 2.8 million mentions of the companies and brands studied were analysed from 438 million German and German-language public internet sources, including social media, using artificial intelligence methods. Neural networks assigned the mentions of the companies and brands to the three topic areas of ecological, economic and social sustainability and divided them into positive, neutral or negative tonality in a sentiment analysis.
Finally, the results were evaluated on a sector-specific basis. Among the construction companies, PORR was awarded the seal "Germany's Best -Sustainability 2022".
