The district of Aubing is located on the western outskirts of Munich. The original village center is located at the northern end of Munich's gravel plain, at the transition to Dachauer Moos. Just under 50,000 inhabitants live in the district, whose historic village center around the St. Quirin church is a listed building. Despite its village structure, Aubing has an urban feel. The district is particularly popular with families because, despite its quiet residential area, you can still reach the city center quickly. Lake Langwieder See and Lake Lußsee, two of Munich's most beautiful bathing lakes, are also in the immediate vicinity.
LEAN ensures detailed planning of the execution
PORR is constructing the new trio of buildings not far from the historic center of Alt-Aubing. A total of 54 residential units with 1 to 4 rooms and living spaces of around 30 to 106 m² are being built on each of the three floors of the three buildings. A shared underground parking garage connects the buildings. The condominiums are being built in accordance with the Krieger + Schramm healthy living building standard using building materials tested for harmful substances and with final indoor air measurements in order to achieve certification from the Sentinel Holding Institute in Freiburg. Built as KfW 55 efficiency houses, the residents of the three-storey buildings will later benefit from low energy costs. In addition, the sand-lime brick masonry ensures a healthy living environment and a high level of sound insulation.
In addition to the service promise of “everything from a single source”, PORR impressed with its consistent use of lean management methods. This approach ensures precise planning, cost transparency and efficient collaboration throughout the entire planning and construction process. It also ensures that deadlines are met, which is extremely important for the client. Even the challenges posed by restricted access routes and limited space are being overcome thanks to LEAN logistics. The buildings are scheduled for completion in November 2026.
