Living in the countryside, yet within easy reach of a major city: the new Quartier Cospuden is being built in the immediate vicinity of Lake Cospuden, south of Leipzig. As a modern residential quarter, it offers space for a variety of different lifestyles: the terraced and multi-family houses offer future residents the advantages of a neighbourhood with a rural character and plenty of modern comfort.
The quarter, which is located in the Leipzig Lake District, has a gross floor area of 13,430 m². In close partnership with PROPOS Projektentwicklung GmbH, PORR is implementing its principles of the ‘Green and Lean’ sustainability strategy in this project. On the one hand, this includes the professional and sustainable handling of building materials. In addition, the precise coordination of the subcontractors ensures that the construction of the buildings is carried out on schedule, cost-effectively and efficiently. The completion of the high-quality residential complex is planned for October 2025.
With the topping-out ceremony, a traditional milestone in the construction process, the completion of the building shell was celebrated together with many guests, symbolising the development of the entire quarter. A special attraction was offered by the provider Air-Emotion: visitors were able to admire the construction site and the adjacent Cospuden Lake from a bird's eye view.
The construction team is now looking ahead optimistically to the next construction phases and is looking forward to continuing to work on the project in partnership with all parties involved until completion. The aim is to provide the future owners with a high-quality home.
A milestone for modern living: PORR celebrates the topping out of the Cospuden quarter
PORR building construction, Region East, Schmölln branch, is realising a total of nine turnkey buildings in Markkleeberg near Leipzig for PROPOS Projektentwicklung GmbH.
