PORR acquires Reisinger Gesellschaft m.b.H.

Vienna, 4 March 2019 – In February 2019 PORR reached a basic agreement for the acquisition of Reisinger Gesellschaft m.b.H. with the company's owners. Ownership of the family-run company will pass to PORR once the conditions precedent are met. Closing is planned for April 2019.

Reisinger Gesellschaft m.b.H. was founded in 1970 by Franz Reisinger as a sole proprietorship in Ennsdorf, Lower Austria. The company has many years of expertise in the field of well drilling and well restoration along with exploratory and horizontal drilling. In 1994 the company was converted from a sole proprietorship into a limited company in the form of an m.b.H. Reisinger currently operates two sites in Austria with a total of 36 employees. Production output stood at around EUR 3m last year.

This takeover enables us to increase PORR Umwelttechnik GmbH's performance capability yet again, especially in well drilling and exploratory drilling. This acquisition has enabled us to secure a powerful expansion of our range of geothermal services while simultaneously enhancing our commitment to renewable energy", said Kurt Lackner, Managing Director of PORR Umwelttechnik GmbH.
