Vienna, 19 December 2016 – PORR AG has now published its fifth Sustainable Value Report, thereby showing that responsibility is not just lip service.
PORR reports on its construction business, its approach to people and responsibility towards the environment.
The key focal points are adding value, recognising value and preserving value.
“In our new Sustainable Value Report we looked for a single element that connects PORR. What do we share that unites us all? Sustainable thinking and actions, planning and working, communicating and operating are the overriding principles in our company”, said Karl-Heinz Strauss, CEO of PORR. “Only those who think about subsequent generations can achieve long-term economic success. Around 1,000 responses as part of a comprehensive stakeholder survey underline our dedication”.
With the new Sustainable Value Report, PORR meets all of the requirements of the G4 guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) for sustainability reporting for the first time. A materiality analysis conducted in the first half of 2016 identified the most important areas as economic success, customer satisfaction, further education and training, and occupational health and safety. All surveys on these issues were carried out in the PORR home markets: in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Poland and the Czech Republic.
The new Sustainable Value Report “What connects us.” is now available in German and English at https://www.porr-group.com/en/group/responsibility/csr/.
